Taylor Swift was not at the IHeartRadio Music Prize 2021 in person, but she made a virtual appearance at the show from an exciting location!
The 31-year-old singer gave an acceptance speech from the recording studio while accepting an award at the event on Thursday, May 27.
Taylor won the Pop Album of the Year award for Folklore. She’s apparently working on her next album “Taylor’s Version” at the moment.
“Thank you very much for this award and for honoring an album of which I am so proud” Taylor said during the speech. “I have to say thank you to everyone at iHeart and everyone on radio who supported Folklore. Folklore was an album I made at the very start of the pandemic. I started writing it and I feel like it has become some kind of emotional liferaft in which I can express my feelings.
Taylor thanked some of his creative collaborators, then thanked his fans.
“Thank you to the fans for making this album what it was,” she said. “We all needed to get away from it all in stories, be it movies, TV, movies or music, and the fact that you chose this album, I’m so honored. You really wrapped him in your arms. Someday we can hug each other when we meet again.
Earlier this month, Taylor made an appearance in person at another music awards ceremony!
