Lourdes Leon, the eldest daughter of singer-actress Madonna has just released her first single under the catchy moniker Lolahol.
Titled “Lock&Key”, the song is released by Chemical X, a label owned by New York experimental pop artist Alexandra Drewchin, aka Eartheater.
Eartheater co-wrote and co-produced with Lourdes, Kiri Stensby (Hara Kiri) and Samuel Burgess.
Fans have described her voice as similar to her mother’s.
The song, a mellow piece of electronica.
In an interview with Interview, Lolahol apparently isn’t sure what she’s actually aiming for.
“I don’t have a specific goal. I probably should. I have a very specific sense of style and am interested in aesthetics, so I like to incorporate all of those parts of myself into my projects,” she said.
“I don’t know yet how I feel about acting. I think it’s about finding a role that wouldn’t be too far from who I already am. Honestly, actors really piss me off and I can’t be with them. As for music, I can sing. I do not care. Maybe it’s too close to my house.
Either way, Madonna is pleased with her daughter’s efforts.
She said it via Instagram, posting, “I’m so proud of you Lola!”
