LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating after officers say a fight at a recording studio led to a fatal shooting Thursday night.

Police say around 11:40 p.m. Thursday, officers received a call from a man who was shot dead at a shopping complex in the 2300 block of Paseo Del Prado.

Officers who arrived found two men, both with gunshot wounds, on the ground outside near the parking lot. A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene while a second man, 24, was transported to UMC in critical condition.

According to police, the preliminary investigation indicates that a group of people were in a recording studio at the scene when an argument began and then began to escalate. The men in the argument were told to leave and then took their argument outside, police said. This led to gunfire and two casualties.

Police said a suspect in the incident has not been taken into custody.
