(MENAFN- PRLog) — Uncle Wins Music Productions has announced that veteran recording artist Uncle Win, better known in the gospel industry as “Win Thompkins”, has now released a new music project in the soulful genre.
“Music has always been my passion and my vehicle to reach people. Gospel music is my base. In addition, R&B and Soul music also resonates. It’s about meeting people where they are, and that’s exactly what my music does,” says Win Thompkins, president of Uncle Wins Music Productions.
Win Thompkins’ career in entertainment began at an early age. At 14, he signed his first recording contract with Cross & Crown Records in association with country star, Zeke Clements. He produced his first “Inspirational New Thought CD” in 2002 entitled “With People in Mind”.
Win took a title given to him following the success of his 2004 release “Foot Stompin (vol. 1) as Foot Stompin’s Ambassador”. His 2009 release “Leaning Tree” was seen as one of his biggest releases to date, followed by his 2013 Stellar Award nomination for his album “I May Be Hoppin”.

After 30 years of producing music in the Gospel arena, Win Thompkins has created a project that will position him to land on the R&B charts. Uncle Win’s new music, “The Luv Factory LP”, pays homage to the timeless theme of “Love and Romance” with the lead single paying homage to the Staple Singers’ 1975 classic “Let’s Do It Again”. Written by the late Curtis Mayfield, the original song topped the charts landing on the “Billboard Hot 100” and stayed on the “Hot Soul Singles” chart for several weeks.
