KUALA LUMPUR, August 4 – In addition to shining on the badminton court, Malaysia’s top singles player Lee Zii Jia is also an aspiring singer and songwriter.

The 23-year-old has been showing off his singing prowess on Douyin, the Chinese equivalent of TikTok, since May of last year.

To date, the All England champion has uploaded 29 clips on the platform with the KOBEH98 handle.

Her last clip was uploaded on May 29.

Fans urged him to participate in singing competitions in China.

One comment read Lee, who is ranked eighth in the world, is an idol to the younger Malaysian generation.

Her singing abilities have since caught the attention of Oppo Malaysia who announced they would work with Lee to produce a song titled Ten thousand emotions, in portrait.

The joint venture, the company said, came on time with the launch of the OPPO Reno6 Z, designed to capture every moment in portrait.

“Lee will be singing about the different emotions he has experienced throughout his journey so far. From bitter and painful moments to sweet and victorious moments, Lee will unveil it all in one song with his guitar!” The company said in one communicated.
